MARTIN PARISH GOVERNMENT ASSISTANT TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER COORDINATOR PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK The Assistant to the Community Center Coordinator position is assigned to the St.
Martin Parish Government, Community Center department and performs clerical duties according to policies and procedures.
Works independently, but under the direction and supervision of the Community Center Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (NOTE:

) Assistant to the Community Center Coordinator serves as an assistant to the Community Center Coordinator and is responsible for the following:
Assists customers with facility related information (pricing, available dates, walk-throughs, etc.
) Assists with any building related safety, repair, equipment, and ground issues Creates requisitions for items/supplies Receives and applies payments Writes refund checks Makes frequent bank deposits as well as forwards and retrieves contracts from main office Maintains and reviews inventory Schedules employees for night and weekend events Labels and files all customer folders and any other information Gives directives to employees concerning facilities and events Maintains spreadsheets for facility rentals and refunds Inspects facility after events Assists with any additional clerical work within the office as necessary COMPETENCIES REQUIRED o Principles and practices of strategic planning o Mathematical and statistical computations o Record keeping and file maintenance principles and procedures o Using initiative, discretion, and judgement within established procedures, guidelines, and rules o Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing Operating a personal computer and various software applic Job Type:
